Unique Wedding Ideas Page 9 50. At Deaf weddings, where either or both the Bride and Groom are Deaf... instead of clicking your forks on the glasses to signal it is time to kiss... they wave their napkin in the air. It is sooo beautiful to see a bunch of napkins being swirled in circles!!
One caution.... be sure the kitchen staff knows in advance not to take the napkins after the last course has been served! SMILE
51. I had a problem getting my 3 yr.-old nephew to go down the isle as the ring boy. He has a Power-wheels truck he loves to ride so we decorated it with flowers and let the flower girl get in the back. He drove the truck up the isle with the flower girl riding in the back throwing flowers it was so cute. Emily Milam
52. Instead of rice, bubbles, or anything else that people throw at the bride and groom. The wedding party should burn sparklers when the bride and groom are having their first dance. The lights are dim and the moment is so special, and sparklers are such a different touch. Or, you can get all the guests to burn one when they are leaving at the end. Whatever works.
53. It was my second marriage and I have two boys one was 11
and the other was 6. We had our wedding at a ranch western style. My youngest son dressed in wranglers and hat came down the aisle with his step-dads hat filled with rose petals throwing a few along the way at the end when he reached his step-dad he stopped looked up at him an presented his hat to him. Step-dad then kneels down and accepted the hat and placed it on his head and they both stood side by side as my oldest son walked me down
the aisle. After the vows we all four walked out together. It was very special for all of us. I feel it united us all on that very special day.
54. I've been to a weddings where when it was time to throw the bouquet (the girls) put on their sneakers to prepare for war. But I figure for my wedding why not let the girls participate but continue to do it in a lady-like fashion. So...my idea is for the bride to come
to the middle of the floor with the bouquet in her hand either held up in the air or placed on the floor. Attached to the bouquet will be ribbons. However many that will participate. Each young lady participating will hold onto to her chosen ribbon. BUT only one ribbon will be secured to the bouquet. Whoever pulls the LUCKY RIBBON is the lucky ribbon. This way everyone keeps all their teeth and their body parts. If you think this is a great idea and tried it
before my wedding date April 21. Congratulations to you!!
55. Well I am only 5'2 and my fiancée' is 6'4 so when we have our first kiss at our wedding ceremony we are going to have a cute little stepping stool with white lace around it for me to step on when kiss him. It will save the awkwardness of our first kiss as a married couple looking silly...... I think it'll be cute!More Unique Wedding Ideas Next |
