45. Since my Flower girl is only 2 her brother is 5, I am going to have him pull her down the aisle in a red "Flyer" Wagon. She is very very shy. Also if your ring bearer and flower girl don't like the idea of walking down the aisle give them a new tricycle to make the aisle thing more fun for them!
45. I had the privilege of putting together my son and new
bride's wedding. We had to watch our costs closely and we chose to use silk flowers. Since silk flowers have no scent, I decided to burn scented candles, which I hide in areas that they could not be seen, due to the fact the candles were of various colors.
47. In my wedding next summer I have decided to do something unique to really "honor" my maid of honor and best friend. While
my six other bride's maids will be in a deep cranberry dress, my maid of honor will be in a silver color so that she will stand out from among the others. There is silver in my wedding gown that stands out as she is next to me with the same shade of silver. My flower girl is in silver as well.
48. This isn't my idea - I was at a wedding the other weekend where this was done and I thought it was very nice! During the
ceremony a photographer and a videographer photographed and videoe'd the wedding, as usual. At the reception, which took place right after the wedding (cocktails in between right outside the large room for the reception in between wedding and reception), a presentation was shown on a screen via projector. The presentation started out with photos and such of the bride starting with baby photos and ending with a recent photo. Then the same was done with the groom. They then
showed the engagement photo. But then this is where the very nice thing took place: they then showed photos and video footage from their wedding which must have been at the most only an hour and a half earlier - most likely less!! It was a great surprise to all the guests, and it was super because the selected clips from during the ceremony after the procession were taken from a view that showed the bride and groom's faces so we all got to see the important parts of the wedding
from a view nobody gets to see otherwise! It was a fantastic presentation, set to music and all, too, of course. I recommend this idea!!
49. For our wedding, my fiancé' and I wanted to do something unique and different to make the bride and groom smooch. My fiance' works at Oscar Mayer and we thought it would be hilarious to go with wiener whistles. So, he ordered 250 wiener
whistles and to each one we attached a tag that read, "Toot on this to see the bride and groom kiss". Each guest will receive one at the reception and can take them home as party favors, too.
We relit our unity candle at the reception and then started a chain of lights with all of our guests--who each had been given a white candle. Then my new husband and I danced our first dance to the candlelight of our friends and family.More Unique Wedding Ideas
