Instead of having a guest book, the best man had an engagement picture blown up as a gift for us and we are going to display that picture on an easel at the ceremony and the reception and have the guests sign the white border around the picture. We will then reframe it and hang it in the living room.
90. I plan on marrying in September and we are having an outside wedding. There will be tables set up around the lawn with the "isle" right down the middle. The guests will be seated at the tables during the ceremony and afterwards, they just get up and serve themselves the food and sit back down at the tables. It saves a lot of time and movement from ceremony to reception!
91. We are asking our guest to send us their favorite recipes with their RSVP's. We are than going to make cookbooks to give to our guest as favors. It's really inexpensive and it's nice to have a cookbook with both our families recipes. You can have the cookbook go with your theme or colors. We are binding ours together with cover coordinating with our invitations.
92. When my friend got married at her dinner whenever people
clinked on their glasses for her and her husband to kiss they pulled out of a hat a rsvp card and had that couple/ or guest and date kiss first.
93. We are having a very small wedding on the beach at sunset. Since it will just be family (about 20 people) in lieu of traditional seating we have no alter (nature and the ocean are the alter) we are arranging the chairs in a circle around us. That way, everyone has a front row view!
In addition, the procession will be the whole group of us. The officiat leading, then bride and groom and then family/guests, all carrying white roses which will be thrown into the ocean in celebration at the close of the ceremony!
94. We are having a small, family wedding in our hometown in Texas. Rather than toss the bouquet to two or three of our girl cousins who are far too young to marry, we plan to recognize my
grandparents who have been married for 60 years. I will then present my bouquet to them. We feel this will be a moment that will bring a few tears and also bring attention to the meaning of the ceremony itself.
95. Since I am a quilter, to remember this very special day, each guest and our family will each put their good wishes and signature on a quilt block. There will be one large block in the middle with
our names and the wedding date. Our children and grandchildren will each have special colored blocks. After the blocks are joined and quilted we will have a very special memory quilt. More Unique Wedding Ideas Next |
