79. Place cards with 4 or 5 wedding tradition on each table. I hope it will be interesting and entertaining for our quests to read and be reminded of the true symbolism of the evenings events. Elizabeth Tiseo 80. We are having a special wedding quilt that will be signed on one side by all of our friends during cocktail hour. Every time we sleep with it we will remember our beautiful wedding.
We are having the set complete with the signing of a huge umbrella, a basketball, and a white ironing board cover (that will be strapped to a brand new white ironing board.) People are requested to bring along a small Christmas ornament (1/per family) from their personal collections. The purpose of this is to remember all of our friends who came to our wedding. We will hang up all the little ornaments they gave to us on our tree at Christmas. We are having a special calendar made with 12
pictures taken during barbecues, parties with our friends. During the cocktail hour they will have an opportunity to fill in their individual birthdays on the proper dates of the calendar. We are doing this so that as a couple we can send birthday cards during the year to our friends signed with love from Mr. and Mrs. Reid. 81. Our photographer suggested this having seen it at another
wedding. Our guest book is an engravable tray. We ordered an engraving tool and will be having guest engrave their name on the tray. This way we will have a tray to display in our home, rather than a book that most people won't see again. Beth 82. This wasn't my initial idea, but I would encourage everyone to think about doing this. The Bride who is getting married
before me, at the same church, called the wedding coordinator and got my telephone number. She called me and asked if I would be interested in going half and half on the church decorations. This, of course, was a blessing to me since I am paying for the wedding myself. We got together, our color schemes were perfect, and we got everything we wanted for half the price. We got 2 floral arrangements for the alter, 2 swags for the candelabras in the front, bows for all the
candles down the aisle, and an aisle runner. All the flowers are silk, but we each only spent $45. This is an awesome idea. I hope many Bride's in the future take advantage of this. Danyell
83. Well, my husband and I were tired of the plain old dress and tuxedo. So instead, we decided on a wedding that nobody would soon forget. The wedding took place in our
back yard. We had about 50 people, small wedding. The uniqueness comes in when you see everyone's apparel. I was wearing white silk pajamas and my hubby was wearing black silk. All the bridesmaids had red silk and the guys were wearing dark blue. The flower girl had pink silk and the ring bearer had on green. All the guests were told to wear whichever PJ's they wanted because it was so late and we wanted them to be comfortable. For shoes, everyone was
wearing slippers. It was cheaper than a traditional wedding and everyone had a great time! More Unique Wedding Ideas Next |
