Unique Wedding Ideas Page 12

69. We are getting our engagement picture blown up poster size and having guests sign it during the reception. We are noting this on the programs so guests who aren't staying for the reception will know to come and sign. After the wedding we are going to frame it and put it in our home. It will be something we can see and remember everyday! ~Crystal and Allen

70. My fiancé and I are both firefighters so we are getting married in front of the Firefighters Memorial in Louisville, KY. It will mean a lot to both of us and the Eternal Flame will be a lovely site for the ceremony.
71. I wanted pew bows but they were very costly so I came up with the idea of making my own. I used wide lace and basted the ribbon with thread and made circles and then attached 2 of them together to make the bow fuller, then I hot glued a red ribbon on the top and since I couldn't find anything I liked for the center of the bow, I decided to use gold heart shaped buttons which I hot glued on top of the red ribbon. Then I cut the boarder of the ribbon and made the tails out of it and hot glued it to the back of the bow. I had the joy of making them myself and the cost was less then half. Crystal
72. Since bird seed and rice are a mess and bubbles can stain your outfit, I bought jingle bells, had copies of my husband's and my name and date on half a business card with two holes punched in them and tied the bells to the card with coordinating ribbon. I spent $35 for 300 favors. (that's the copies, ribbon and bells) It took some time to tie the bells to the card, but it was worth it at $0.11 a favor!

73. Let's face it: the receiving line is usually long and boring for those who have to wait. Our wedding is especially large, so our receiving line will be very long. One of our ideas is to have a special cousin be our "official photographer". People really dress up for weddings, they go to the time and trouble of looking their best to honor the couple getting married. Our "official receiving line photographer" will be given a Polaroid camera and some fun film with a special
boarder. Her job will be to go down the line taking pictures of couples or families waiting in line. It will be a memorable keepsake of themselves at the wedding. We are also having a friend who is a magician go down the line, doing tricks for people who are waiting. Hopefully this will allow our guests to enjoy the mile long receiving line! Juliana

74. For our wedding favors my fiancé and I are going to give out personalized mouse  pads with our wedding invitation thank you note design on it. I though this would  be unique since we met on the internet.

75. Our church would not allow the flower girl to drop rose petals.  I also, wanted  something a little more unique.  My wedding is in September and I love  everything about fall.  So I will have my flower girl carry a basket full of  gourds of various colors, shapes and sizes.  I will carry over the theme into  the reception where there will be gourds at every table.  It is very inexpensive  because everyone I knew is growing gourds!
