Ring Bearers Ring bearers are usually young men, but
may also be girls, aged four to eight. It is suggested he or she carry an imitation ring, tied with ribbons, to a white, beautifully decorated cushion. The best man and maid/matron of honor carry the actual rings. The reason for this is obvious. The child may back out at the last moment and refuse to go down the aisle. It would be awkward to have to chase the child down and retrieve the rings. Ring bearers look charming in a white suit with short pants, or
a younger version of the groomsmen's tuxedos. |
